We had the pleasure of illustrating the second part of Gyarmati Judit’s fairy tale book. Following the great success of the first part, the author wrote a continuation, and we were entrusted with both the illustration and book design. The goal of this project was to bring the new adventures to life with colorful, engaging images while preserving the beloved visual world of the previous installment.
Project Process
- Concept and Ideation
While the characters and style of the first book were already established, designing the settings and emotional scenes for the new story presented creative challenges. We worked closely with the author to develop every detail, ensuring that we could capture the best moments. - Character Development
The familiar protagonists from the first book – Brúnó, Beki, and Báró – remained at the forefront. For the new part, we created additional characters, such as the new owner, who plays a key role in the story. The new characters were developed to fit the previous style, with particular attention to their personalities and roles within the story. - Creating the Illustrations
The fairy tale book features more than 10 illustrations, each depicting different moments of the story through carefully composed, colorful images. The illustrations not only tell the story but also convey emotions, atmosphere, and depth. We designed the richness of the images so that they would be accessible to children and relatable for them. - Book Cover Design
The design of the book cover received special attention. We created a visually appealing, eye-catching cover that immediately grabs the reader's attention. We also handled the entire print preparation process, ensuring that every element of the book met the printing requirements.
